Wood River Valley soccer fans have been flocking to World Cup watch parties this week—Joyce Patricelli said she got within an inch of the screen during the exciting last second between Turkey and the United States on Thursday.
Now there’s a watch party for—drum roll, please…or, perhaps a choir of angels singing—the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is hosting a Songs of Hope watch party featuring a screening of the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra tonight—Saturday, June 27.
The evening will feature the Songs of Hope concert being staged at the Hollywood Bowl at Temple Square and a hot dog dinner to boot.
The evening will begin from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a free hot dog dinner, including kosher and vegetarian options, at the field and pavilion outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 821 Broadford Road in Hailey. There also will be a Service Fair outlining fun, simple service projects benefitting the community.
The Songs of Hope Concert Screening will follow from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theatre at the Community Campus.
Songs of Hope is a concert series that shares messages of hope and service. It has been shared with audiences in Mexico, the Philippines, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and the United States.
