The Blaine County Recreation District is celebrating its Golden Anniversary with a 50 Years Strong Party on Sunday, July 26.

The party will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Galena Lodge. Attendees are invited to gather and enjoy complimentary fries and a beverage, courtesy of BCRD.

"This milestone belongs to the community," said Mark Davidson, Executive Director of BCRD. "BCRD exists because of our passionate community. They participated, donated, volunteered, coached, and believed that recreation strengthens quality of life. Our 50th anniversary is about honoring that shared legacy and continuing to build it together."

The BCRD held a similar party during the winter season at Galena Lodge. And, more recently, it held a free pool party at its Aquatic Center.
