Bob Hope once said that when we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things—not the great occasions—give off the greatest glow of happiness.
It’s difficult to overlook the simplest things in this beautiful valley we call home—from the light snow that piled up on the ice rink Christmas Eve during Sun Valley’s “Nutcracker on Ice” to the full moon that set in the west on Christmas morning
It was the first full moon on Christmas Day since 1977. The last of the year, it’s called the “Full Cold Moon” because it occurs at the beginning of winter. We won’t see another until 2034.
But it looks as if we will see the sun, which has been a rarity in Sun Valley for the past couple weeks as nearly nine feet of snow piled up on surrounding mountains, for the week to come!
Please enjoy some of the scenes that made up Christmas in Sun Valley this year. And Merry Christmas!
