Stop and smell the lupine. And be in the present moment.
The Flourish Foundation is conducting a series of Reflective Immersion Hikes on the first Saturday of each summer month that are free and open to the public.
The idea is to enjoy nature with a shared intention of being in the present moment, harvesting joy and creating connectivity. Each of the hikes will integrate moments of solitude and reflection with togetherness and community.
The first hike will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, at Baker Lake. The hike, considered easy, begins at the Baker Lake trailhead north of Ketchum and follows switchbacks 1.5 miles to the lake.
The second hike will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 7. It will start at the Tin Cup trailhead in the Sawtooth Mountains near Stanley and go to Farley Lake.
The third hike will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and will go to Imogene Lake in the Sawtooth Wilderness. It will begin at the Hell Roaring trailhead opposite 4th of July Creek Road. It is considered strenuous.
