One’s a renowned veteran. Another is a stunning rookie. A third is a mind-blowing innovator and the fourth is a big mountain star carrying on his father’s legacy.
Each skier brings a different style and outlook to the table but they all have one thing in common: They love to play in the snow and they love to send’er.
Matchstick Productions’ “Return to Send’er” brings all four of these skiers, including Sun Valley’s big mountain skier Karl Fostvedt, together for the mother of all heliskiing trips.
And the movie will be shown at 6 and 9 p.m. tonight—Friday, Oct. 18—at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum. Karl Fostvedt, one of the show’s stars, will sign posters at the shows.
The movie was shot on location at Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Squaw Valley and White Water Resort, Whistler, Revelstoke and the Selkirk Tangiers in British Columbia.
In addition to Karl Fostvedt, it stars Mark Abama, Sam Kuch and Logan Pehota, as well as others.
Tickets are $9 for the early show and $12 for the late show, available at www.theargyros.org. Proceeds from ticket sales and a raffle will be donated to the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center and the Sawtooth City Volunteer Fire Department.
