Deb Snider, a certified homeopath and metabolic balance coach based in Ketchum, will discuss “Homeopathy—Help Your Body Heal Itself” during a free lecture at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Community Library.
One of two board-certified homeopaths in the state of Idaho, she will discuss the origins of homeopathy, what it is and what it is not. And she will describe cases to illustrate how it’s used.
Homeopathy was created in 1796 by a German doctor who believed that “like cures like.” In other words, substances that cause the symptoms of a disease in healthy people might also cure similar symptoms in sick people.
For instance, onions--known for making eyes water--might be used in homeopathic remedies for allergies.
