Lyn Drewien has been named the new director of the Hailey Public Library. She will start Aug. 31.
She will replace LeAnn Gelskey, who served as director from 2010 until April of this year when she left to take a position with the Idaho Commission for Libraries as their Talking Book Service Program Supervisor.
Drewien brings more than a decade of library experience to her new position, having worked at both the Hailey Public Library and The Community library in Ketchum.
A 30-year resident of the Wood River Valley, she earned her Master of Library and Information Science degree from San Jose State University in 2016.
She has worked for the past two years as the grants and procurement specialist at Blaine County.
Laura Primrose has served as interim director for the past few months.
