Love the idea of expending calories Thanksgiving morning so your belt feels a little loose by Thanksgiving dinner?
You’re in luck because the 5K Turkey Trot 2020 is a go.
The Chamber will throw its annual fun run Thanksgiving morning. And the good news? You can sleep in before showing up.
Starting times will be staggered 15 minutes apart between 9:30 a.m. and noon to limit the crowd.
Sign up for a time slot at https://www.imathlete.com/#/legacy?url=%2Fevents%2FHaileyTurkeyTrot. Signups on the day of the race will be allowed only during the last wave.
The first 500 to register will receive a buff with a cute little turkey amidst pandemic toilet paper rolls marking the year 2020.
The fun run will start near Main and Carbonate streets in front of Sturto’s. It will proceed down Croy Creek Road, through Lions Park and the Draper Preserve, come out War Eagle Drive and make its way back on Broadford Road and River Street from Silver Star.
Face coverings and social distancing will be required. Dogs are welcome to join in the fun but should have their humans on leash.
