A house fire in East Fork has displaced a family and their dog.
Wood River Valley fire departments were dispatched to the structure fire that was reported at 6:16 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16.
Ketchum Rural Fire Protection District Chief Rich Bauer arrived on scene within three minutes.
Bauer reported seeing flames on the roof and requested a full complement of valley fire resources, said Chief Ron Bateman. More than two dozen firefighters from Ketchum Fire, Sun Valley Fire, Wood River Fire Rescue, Hailey Fire and Bellevue Fire fought the fire.
Bateman said that Bauer helped the residents and their dog evacuate. And the Sun Valley Firefighters Association helped get lodging for the displaced family.
This is the second major house fire in the past month. A structure fire on Oct. 21 displaced a family in the Heatherlands south of Ketchum.
