A Pulitzer Prize finalist and two staff writers for The New Yorker will be among the authors who will take part in the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference 2021 Summer Speaker Series.
The Conference is partnering with The Community Library to make the speakers available to the community.
The writers are:
Thursday, July 1: Rebecca Makkai – author of The Great Believers and The Hundred-Year House. She is a National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize finalist
Thursday, July 15: Susan Orlean – staff writer for The New Yorker and author of The Orchid Thief and The Library Book
Wednesday, July 21: Tobias Wolff – memoirist, novelist, short-story writer, and author of This Boy's Life and In Pharaoh's Army
Wednesday, July 28: Patrick Radden Keefe – staff writer for The New Yorker, investigative reporter, and author of Say Nothing and Empire of Pain
All talks will be presented at 7 p.m. in-person outdoors at The Community Library. They will also be livestreamed via the library’s website for those preferring to watch from home.
All will be free, but pre-registration will be required to ensure adequate COVID-19 seating and safety measures.
