Saturday, May 22, 2021

Higher Ground will host an Open House honoring Wood River Valley first responders and frontline workers from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Hailey Fire station at 617 3rd Ave. S. in Hailey.

There’ll be tours of a fire truck, kids crafts and free barbecued hot dogs. Firefighters also will be presenting fire safety information.

CarryTheLoad.org, an organization that reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by military, veterans and first responders, is partnering on the event.

Carry the Load Higher Ground and Carry the Load will join hands in their annual memorial walk in honor of soldiers who gave all on Memorial Day. This year it will start from the Hailey Veteran’s Memorial in front of the Blaine County Courthouse to the Hailey Cemetery on Memorial Day.
