Whoever got the bright idea that a fine arts sculpture is meant to serve as a bike rack?

This is what Gail Severn found outside her gallery Friday afternoon as tourists poured into town.

“These are the kinds of behaviors that really upset those of us who have lived and worked here for so long,” she said.

One person ventured that the person who locked their bike to this beautiful—and expensive—sculpture might learn a lesson if they were locked to it as in the days of pillories and stocks.
