“Together Again.”
It’s the sentiment members of the new Liberty Theatre Company feel as they get back together on stage 16 months after the coronavirus pandemic so brutally shut down theater.
And it’s the sentiment they feel as they are again able to engage with their fans and supporters.
Eight members of the Liberty Theatre Company will present an al fresco evening of entertainment titled “Together Again” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug 20-21, at Festival Meadows across from the iconic red Sun Valley Barn on Sun Valley Road.
The show is being presented in partnership with Field Daze.
The show will feature Melodie Taylor-Mauldin, David Janeski, Chris Carwithen, Andrew Alburger, John Mauldin, Aly Wepplo, Matt Musgrove and Tess Makena. All had performed with Company of Fools before it was dissolved earlier this year.
The show features humorous skits and some poignant recollections as each actor recounts his or her journey to the stage. And there’ll be plenty of familiar tunes, such as “With a Little Help From My Friends.”
“We’re encouraging everyone to bring a picnic, low-back chairs, blankets, etc., and enjoy the show picnic style, as there will be no chairs provided,” said Carwithen. “Food, drinks, and alcohol will also be served by Warfield Distillery during the event.”
The show is priced at many different levels, including “Donate at Will,” to encourage anyone and everyone to attend and support the theatre. For tickets, visit libertytheatrecompany.org, or fielddazesunvalley.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the event.
