“Some Enchanted Evening.” “People” from “Funny Girl.” And “Sue Me” from “Guys and Dolls.”
They’ll be part of the musical menu along with “Over the Rainbow,” “My Way,” “Feelin’ Good” and some newer songs when R.L. Rowsey & Friends close out the summer season of Field Daze this weekend.
An Evening with R.L. Rowsey & Friends will take place at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 27-28, at the Reinheimer Ranch at Ketchum’s southern entrance. Gates open at 6 p.m. for those who would like to spread out a picnic before the show. And Warfield Distillery & Brewery’s mobile bar will be on hand to sell snacks, organic beer, mocktails and cocktails featuring organic spirits.
“I continue to be so grateful that Lila (Clagborn) and Cathy (Reinheimer) recognized the need for another outdoor performance space for events of all kinds this summer,” said Rowsey, referring to the co-founders of Field Daze. “What a gift.”
Rowsey said folks can expect some familiar performers such as Lila Claghorn, Jana Arnold, Courtney and Ward Loving and Nick Sacks and Madison Hansmeyer. They also will be treated to the talents of Naomi McDougall Jones, a Hollywood film producer, director and actor who moved to the valley last fall.
“I don't know how it happens…maybe it's the bond between the artists or the friendly nature of the audience, but being out in the middle of that gorgeous open field, this still feels like the most intimate, engaging evening,” Rowsey added.
Tickets start at $20 and are available at the door or online at https://www.fielddazesunvalley.org
