Meet the ballet stars of tomorrow when the San Francisco Ballet School performs at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at The Argyros in Ketchum.
Twelve pre-professional dancers will perform an evening of classical and contemporary works, as well as three world premiere dances. Hand picked from around the world they hail from Brazil, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The evening will include works by such choreographers as Viktor Plotnikov, Dana Genshaft and Sir Frederick Ashon.
The San Francisco Ballet School is a training ground for dancers from around the world. Its dancers have gone on to join the San Francisco Ballet, the Royal Danish Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Mariinsky Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and English National Ballet.
"Sun Valley audience members will have the opportunity to see the future of ballet, as these highly trained dancers ready themselves for the next stage in their careers,” said Patrick Armand, director of San Francisco Ballet School.
