Galena Lodge will reopen for the winter season on Friday, Nov. 19.
The lodge will be open daily through the winter from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No reservations will be needed and diners can sit inside or out.
- The Vamps and DONS (Dudes on Nordic Skis) are offering three week’s worth of classes during December at Galena Lodge. The classes are timed to teach newbies what they need to enjoy a cross-country ski winter. And they’re helpful in fine tuning veterans’ techniques as they return to the snow.
Classes include “never ever” skate and classic, upper-level skate, downhills and corners and upper level and lower-level classic.
Eight weeks of classes will be also offered during January and February at Lake Creek.

- Ski Free Day will be held on all groomed BCRD trails on Dec. 4. Galena Lodge will hold a free Learn to Ski Day on that day.
- Registration is ow open for the 2022 Zions Bank Boulder Mountain Tour. The 49th annual race will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, and will include an in-person component and virtual component. Participants can ski the entire 34K course from Galena Lodge to SNRA, or they can opt for the newly named 15K Charley Course Half Boulder.
