Get ready to see scenes from Tennessee Williams’ “Glass Menagerie” and Lee Blessing’s “Independence” when the Wood River High School Drama Department presents a free showcase performance.
The showcase will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater. The Blaine County School District will require audience members to wear face masks.
The showcase will include:
Mykelti Blackburn, Bryna Neace and Lilia Page presenting a scene from Lee Blessing’s “Independence,” about a small town, three sisters and one depressed and manipulative mother.
Aurora Widdison and Aimsley Shearer will present a scene from Tennessee Williams’ “Glass Menagerie,” about a faded southern belle who is obsessed with finding a gentleman caller for her mentally fragile daughter.
Elena Tamayo, Mykelti Blackburn and Holden Blair will present contrasting monologues. Gracie Peterson will perform a humorous solo and a serious solo.
Marina Monschke will sing “When He Sees Me,” from “Waitress.” And Hunter Ervin and Louise Christensen will present the technical makeup of “Avatar: The Last Air Bender.”
