Rotarun Ski Area will throw its Season Opener Party from 5 to 9 tonight—Friday, Dec. 17.
There’ll be A Teton Gravity Research movie bursting with ski pow, live music by the Pisten Bully’s, night skiing and food and drink from the Sawtooth Club and CK’s Real Food. Warfield Distillery & Brewery will have beer for sale.
Public skiing will start from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18. Individual day tickets for children ages 10 and under are free. Youth ages 11 through 18 are $5 and adults over 18 are $10.
Family day passes are $25. Season passes also are available.

SOLDIER MOUNTAIN OPENS TODAY
Soldier Mountain will open for the season today. The Fairfield ski area will operate chair 1 and the magic carpet today, augmenting it with Chair 2 on Saturday and Sunday.
The resort will then reopen daily for the holidays Dec. 23-Jan. 2.
Soldier Mountain has 18 inches of snow at the base and 24 inches at top.
