Sage School Officials at The Sage School announced Monday that they have raised $5.7 million towards their new campus in Quigley Farm.

Officials had projected they’d spend between $6.5 million and $7 million in building costs.

An additional matching campaign is slated to bring the number to $6.7 million prior to September 2022 when the school opens its doors.

“We are so thankful to all of our donors and community members who are making this dream into reality,” says Harry Weekes, founder and Head of School. “Our current location near the airport has served us amazingly well for 10 years. But it was never a permanent home and on behalf of all of our students, faculty, and entire community, we are thrilled to see this 10-year plan coming to fruition.”

The new campus, which will initially serve a hundred students, is situated on eight acres on the edge of a 1,200-acre conservation easement in the 1,500-acre Quigley Canyon.

The campus will be made available to partnering nonprofits, such as The Hunger Coalition and the broader community.

The Sage School was established in 2009 with the idea that how children are educated determines the fate of our world.

In addition to funding the building, the fundraising campaign is establishing an endowment to sustain the new campus, offer flexible tuition to students, fund student field trips and other activities and ensure teachers have a living wage and affordable housing opportunities.
