The Sun Valley Culinary Institute will hold three open houses up and down the valley for prospective students to learn about it year-long professional program.
The Institute will hold the first from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Institute at 211 Main St. in Ketchum. It will follow that up with one from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at La Cabanita in Bellevue. The third will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at Saturday, April 23, at Mahoney’s Bar & Grill in Bellevue.
The program offers a mix of training in knife skills, baking skills and more at the Institute, coupled with paid hands-on experience under some of the top chefs in Sun Valley and Ketchum. The unique model leaves students with the skills needed to assume duties at any restaurant with a minimum of tuition expense.
Scholarships are available. Call Karl Johan Uri, executive director of the Institute, at 208-913-0494 or 208-309-2700 for more information.
