The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will hold its third annual Walk & Wine at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, in the garden.
The Walk & Wine will showcase six wines, paired appetizers by local chef Eileen Reiss and live entertainment.
The casual low-key event was created in 2020 as a way people could enjoy the garden, which seems to grow more beautiful every year, during the height of the COVID pandemic. And it proved so popular that the garden brought it back last year and, now, this year.
Executive Director Jen Smith and others have organized the event so that people can walk from wine to wine, from hors d’oeuvres to hors d’ouevres, enjoying all that the garden has to offer from the Lava Garden to the Serenity Garden.
Many attendees enjoy relaxing on benches provided around the garden as they say hello to old friends passing by.
“This is a fun event to take part in,” said Amy Boyer, one of those who took part in 2021. “And I love rediscovering plants and discovering new plants.”
Tickets are $100 per person with the money benefitting Sun Valley’s public botanical garden.
