Dance along to the electrifying 1960s pop/rock score of “Little Shop of Horrors” when Sun Valley Opera presents its annual film on the Pavilion Lawn.
The Sun Valley Opera will show the sci-fi horror musical at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, on the big screen of the Sun Valley Pavilion Lawn.
Attendees are invited to come at 5 p.m. for picnicking. And it’ll be all the merrier if you wear a costume or do a tablescape fit to match the film.
The film stars Rick Moranis as Seymour Krelborn, a meek, dejected assistant at a floral shop who names a strange plant “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. In time, this unusual plant develops a soulful R&B voice, a potty mouth and an unquenchable thirst for human blood.
The carnivorous plant promises fame and fortune to Seymour—as long as he provides a fresh supply of blood. But its drive for world domination soon takes on a sinister twist.
The film also stars Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia and Steve Martin with a cameo by Bill Murray.
Tickets are $20, available at www.sunvalleyopera.com or by calling 208-726-0991.
