Debra Hall was named Idaho Realtor of the Year at the Idaho Realtors Association’s recent convention in Coeur d’Alene.
This is the first time anyone from Sun Valley has been chosen.
Hall, who founded Hallmark Idaho Properties, was one of 10 finalists picked from throughout the state. She was encouraged to participate by the Sun Valley Board of Realtors.
“Very honored to have won among so many very deserving applicants,” she said.
Hall was judged by several criteria, including her knowledge and adherence to real estate principles, laws and regulations, her continual education, and her State and National Association activities. She also was judged based on her participation in local, state and national civic and service clubs and her involvement in community projects that enhance economic development and pride in her community.
Hall furthered the discussion about affordable housing, including ideas for revising zoning ordinances and finding ways to finance private projects, as she ran for county commissioner in 2018.
She has served as president of The Chamber and president of the Sun Valley Board of Realtors. And she organized innovative events like a Gingerbread Decorating Contest and the imaginative Tour de Coops, in which she invited people to take a Sunday drive through the valley to see the valley’s chicken coops.
She has had a 32-year career in real estate with her own firm—Hallmark Idaho Properties.
