Jill Johnson threw away the dress she made in high school home economics class because she hated it so much. But, after her children were grown, she surprised herself by developing a passion for quilting. Today she creates contemporary not-your-grandmother’s designs, selling custom-designed quilts, pillows and handbags through her new business at https://www.j-coterie.com/.
Johnson will open the studio in her home at 231 Tendoy St. in Bellevue as part of the Artists Studio Tour of the Wood River Valley on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 23-24. Eye on Sun Valley scored a sneak peek at Johnson’s unique designs ahead of time and you, too, can get a sneak peek in today’s Eye on Sun Valley video.
