Cowboy poets waxed eloquently about strawberry roans, and children got to try gold panning outside the Wood River Museum. And 14 tall muscular Shire draft horses, tasked with taking over the job of the 20-mule team, won the admiration of hundreds of parade goers as they watched the rare horses pull several of Ketchum’s iconic ore wagons down Sun Valley Road.
