Shoshoni Members Color Sun Valley Festival Meadow with Native Dances

Thursday, September 12, 2024

Their ancestors moved up and down the Wood River Valley for centuries before white man came, stopping to fish, hunt and gather medicinal plants. And during Wagon Days members of the Northern Shoshoni tribe now living at the Fort Hall Indian Reservation near Pocatello returned to the Wood River Valley to showcase some of their native dances during the annual Wagon Days celebration.

Hear from Darrel Shay, a member of the band, and watch the dancing in today’s Eye on Sun Valley video.
