Wildflowers of the Wood River Valley are Blooming

Wednesday, May 15, 2024

The wildflowers have started popping out Croy Canyon and elsewhere in the Wood River Valley. Reacquaint yourselves with some of the early wildflowers on a wildflower walk with Kristin Fletcher, the president of the Wood River Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society, and Karen Bossick of Eye on Sun Valley.

This particular walk zeroes in on the ever-present arrowleaf balsamroot, long leaf phlox, low penstemon, antelope bitterbrush, blue camas and death camas.
