Race car wine.

This year's Janss Pro-Am organizer Heather Foster found the perfect wines to match the ski racing fundraiser's 24 Hours of Le Mans/25 Hours of Janss theme in a lineup the Unser brothers could have raised their glasses to.

Adobe Road Winery, which harvests its grapes from the Sonoma and Napa County vineyards of California, rolled out a collection of boutique wines paying homage to the world of professional sports car racing and the idea of going around the track at 180 miles per hour.

The Petaluma, Calif., winery was founded by professional race car driver Kevin Buckler and his wife Debra in 2002 following the success of his professional race team--The Racers Group, TRG-Aston Martin Racing--which has competed in NASCAR Sprint Cup series and other series. Did we mention that Buckler won the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona four times, the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans and the title of 2002 Porsche World Cup Champion, as well?

The wines are not only handcrafted but displayed in special bottles evoking the spirit of race cars.

The Racing Series, for instance, includes:

Redline, a fruity blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel Petite Sirah and Malbec that features what looks like a mini speedometer on the bottle that charges to the redline as if the pourer was pressing his pedal to the metal while pouring it.

#66 White Blend, which pays tribute to the perfect little Porsche.

The wines can be purchased locally at Albertsons, said Callum Clarke, western regional sales director for Adobe Road.
