A member of the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board will serve as the keynote speaker for the Sun Valley Policy Forum’s 2026 Fall Symposium.

Kimberly Strassel will examine the state of the American experiment and the principles necessary to preserve economic opportunity and constitutional government in the forum, which runs Sept. 13-14.

The Forum will be held at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum.

The Forum kicks off with a Concord Dinner: A Special Evening with America's Economists, an exclusive discussion for Season Supporters. The dinner will feature Allison Schrager, economist and Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, moderating a conversation with Pierre Yared, Professor at Columbia Business School and former Acting Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers.

Public programming begins on Monday, Sept. 14, with a morning economic outlook from Stephen Moore, chairman of Unleash Prosperity.

The Symposium's second session will examine the relationship between energy policy and economic growth. It will feature Daniel Turner, executive director of Power the Future, and Rupert Darwall, Senior Fellow at the National Center for Energy Analytics. They will discuss how America's energy future will influence economic competitiveness, affordability and national security.

The evening programming will include an economic briefing from Dr. Tyler Goodspeed, chief economist at Exxon Mobil and former Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. It will end with Strassel’s keynote address.

"The Fall Symposium brings together respected voices who will challenge assumptions, share new perspectives, and help us think more deeply about the economic choices that will define the next generation,” said Christina Erland Culver, chief executive officer of the Forum.
