IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild will return to the 65-acre Warm Springs Preserve at the foot of Bald Mountain as part of Ketchum’s two-day Summer Solstice Celebration on June 22-23.
Pianist Hunter Noack will play a nine-foot Steinway concert grand piano as guests listen through wireless headphones, invited to wander the landscape while experiencing the music as a soundtrack to the surrounding environment.
Tickets are free at https://inalandscape.org/warm-springs-preserve-6-22-2026/.
IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild has been touring the American West for 11 years, performing on mountain tops, in old growth forests and in sunny meadows instead of concert halls.
Earlier concerts were held near the Simon-Bauer Preserve in Hailey, in a meadow just off the Wood River bike path south of Ketchum and last year in Warm Springs Preserve.
The City will host a variety of activities on June 22:
3:30 p.m. — Yard games open
4:30 p.m. — Guided nature photography hikes
4:30 p.m. — New amenity tours highlighting recent improvements at the Preserve, led by City of Ketchum and Wood River Land Trust staff
5-6 p.m. — Outdoor yoga session
5:30 p.m. — Food and beverage available from local vendors
6:30–8:30 p.m. — Live concert: IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild
Parking at the preserve for the June 22 events will be limited to ADA accessible parking and event staff. Attendees are encouraged to bike or walk to the event, with bike racks available near the parking area.
Two golf carts will be available to assist guests with mobility needs. The golf carts will pick up and drop off passengers at the corner of Lopey Lane and Bald Mountain Road.
The following day—June 23-- will be one of giving back as Wood River Valley residents are invited to join in planting trees and native plants from 9 a.m. to noon to restore the landscape of the preserve. Sign up at https://www.woodriverlandtrust.org/events/community-planting-day.
