It’s certainly not in the category of affordable housing that valley leaders have been talking about for months.
But you could have casino mogul Steve Wynn’s Ketchum home for $27 million.
The asking price, listed by Sue Engelman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Sun Valley Properties, makes the two-story contemporary mountain lodge the most expensive property in the state.
The 81-year-old Wynn, known for early morning ski runs on Sun Valley’s Bald Mountain, has been selling off $300 million in his personal real estate portfolio, according to the Wall Street Journal. That includes his $90 million New York City penthouse, a $78.5 million estate in Palm Beach, Fla., his $17.5 million Las Vegas home and another $32 million waterfront spread in Palm Beach.
Wynn’s Ketchum property sits on four acres. The main house was built in 1986; the guesthouse, in 1979. The retreat has 11 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in a 15,453-square-foot space.
Wynn purchased the home in 2009 and rebuilt it in 2014. It includes a pool and spa, six hotel-caliber suite bedrooms, a massage room, gym, catering kitchen and media room, along with a great room with a cathedral ceiling and spectacular mountain views out its floor-to-ceiling window.
