The Idaho Transportation Department will shift traffic on Highway 75 south of Ketchum beginning Thursday, July 17, as part of its ongoing construction between Elkhorn Road and River Street.

Crews moved traffic to the west side of the highway in May to allow crews to reconstruct and widen the east side of the roadway. Now, they’re shifting traffic to the east side of the highway to rebuild the west side of the roadway.

Motorists can expect:

Crews to begin paving the east side of Highway 75 on Monday, July 14. Paving is expected to occur for a few days, and trucks will enter and exit the work zone frequently.

Traffic will shift to the east side of SH-75 on Thursday, July 17.

One lane will remain open in each direction on the highway between south of Elkhorn Road and Serenade Lane.

Traffic will remain in this pattern through late 2025.

These improvements are expected to improve safety, capacity and traffic flow on the highway. Improvements include widening Highway 75 between Elkhorn Road and Serenade Lane, widening the Trail Creek Bridge, upgrading the Elkhorn Road traffic signal and installing a new traffic signal at Serenade Lane.

Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026.
