A year after winning a top national Eddie publishing award for the Discover the Wood River Valley guide, the Hailey-based GLICK+FRAY has won four more prestigious awards.

The boutique graphic design agency dominated this year’s Eddie & Ozzie Awards, outshining some of the top design firms in the industry and the greatest names in the publishing world, including the Museum of Modern Art.

At a gala attended by the industry’s elite in New York City, GLICK + FRAY were awarded the:

Eddie Award – Discover the Wood River Valley: Series of Articles / City & Regional

The firm was also an Eddie finalist for the Full Issue--City & Regional Northwest category for its 2024 Discover the Wood River Valley guide. The agency won top honors in the 2024 Eddie Awards for its creation of the 2023 Discover the Wood River Valley guide produced for The Valley Chamber, meaning it was the “best visitor’s guide in the country,” according to agency founder Nancy Glick.

The publication showcases the attributes of the Wood River Valley for potential visitors and businesses that are considering relocating to the valley. Last year it won in the category of Full Issue—City & Regional Northwest and received honorable mention for Series of Articles—City & Regional.

The Eddie & Ozzie Awards are considered the most prestigious honors in the publishing industry, celebrating superior editorial and design work across business and consumer media. They’re given in numerous categories that cover a wide range of topics from news coverage to podcasting.

This year’s winners included AARP, PEOPLE INC and MarthaStewart.com, National Geographic Kids, Nature Conservancy magazine and Consumer Reports. Other recipients have included Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, Wine Enthusiast and Science News.

Beating out internationally renowned institutions and publications underscores GLICK + FRAY’s impact on business and nonprofit storytelling, digital design innovation and place-based editorial, said Glick.

The Living with Wolves website sweep redefines how nonprofit conservation stories are told on the web, drawing national acclaim for both visual storytelling and user experience, she added.

“This is beyond thrilling—we absolutely crushed it this year,” she said. “To stand alongside brands like MoMA and Travel + Leisure, and to win across content, photography and web design is a testament to our dedication to purpose-driven creative.”

Glick comes from a long family history of design and publishing, her grandfather George T. Harrison having started a newspaper in Silverdale, Wash., called the Silverdale Breeze. Her mother Sara and grandmother Zoe helped set the type.

“I remember my mom used to tell me as a little girl that I would end up making magazines. We would sit together, and she would draw me pictures and look at all the fabulous magazines together,” Glick recalled.

Glick started her agency, which specializes in web, graphic, design, publishing and digital content, in 2010. She called it the Pixel Bakery before renaming it GLICK + FRAY.

Glick said the wins belong to all her team members, as well as clients “who dream big and the communities whose stories inspire the agency’s work.

“We set out to prove that thoughtful design and authentic editorial can go head-to-head with the giants—and we won,” she said. “I’m beyond proud.”
