BY KAREN BOSSICK

Dark Sky lovers will hold a Dark Sky Event to kick off the long Labor Day weekend tonight—Friday, Sept. 3--from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the SNRA headquarters seven miles north of Ketchum on Highway 75.

Starlight providing, of course!

The event will start inside with some explanatory discussions. Then it will move outside the parking lot as it gets dark.

Attendees are encouraged to bring binoculars, flashlights covered with red cellophane or some other covering so the light doesn’t interfere with the dark, headlamps with red lights and warm jackets.
